Henrik har blivit nominerad till den nordiska filmmusikpriset Harpa för musiken till Vem är du mamma mu!

I motiveringen står det:

In Who Are You, Mamma Moo?, an animated family film directed by Christian Ryltenius based on the books by Jujja and Tomas Wieslander with illustrations by Sven Nordqvist, we find the rare occurrence of a 60-minute fully composed score.

A creative drama surrounding the quirky, curious Mamma Moo and her grumpy friend Crow, where Henrik Lörstad’s wonderful score both comments on and elevates the storytelling in an ambitious way. Beautifully performed by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Lörstad weaves Jujja and Tomas Wieslander’s classic Mamma Moo songs with subtle and intelligent gestures in his film music, which skillfully and playfully moves between genres and references.

Here, the young audience is not only treated to high-class film music but also an introduction – perhaps their first – to a wide array of musical expressions, with its artistic and pop-cultural nods. With elegant and detailed instrumentation, Lörstad manages to highlight, without oversimplifying, both the playful and the serious aspects of the film’s sympathetic message. It is rare to come across such a well-crafted score in children’s and youth films, or even in films for an adult audience.
